2. PD & Merchandising: US Market

The individual should be upto date with the current US market trends, which styles, collections, promotions are running constantly:
Source of information: Market Re-search
Updated information through online websites of major retail chains as well as successful online platforms
Talk to the US Sales team on the ground to collect all necessary information
Constantly keep himself updated through online promotions events, emails subscriptions, etc.
Use own experience to make judgement calls from all the above collected information
Should be able to use the above information on market trends, events, promotions & propose collections on monthly / occasions by re-searching the similar styles available with Overnight mountings (Casting house) so that we do not have to do the New PD
Should be able to use the above information to price point each style in the collection based on the competitive price offerings on various other online platforms of retail chains
Should be able to do pricing analysis & propose for every collection
Also be able to analyze the data we have collected from our other clients on the running styles, hit ratios, price points (cost Vs retail) & use that information constructively in the development on future collections
Should be able to use the available diamond stock sizes to create collections, promotions, etc. again based on the similar logic of using the Overnight mountings data base for picking the current trending styles based on the above re-search
Should understand the use of colored diamonds (yellows, pinks, blues) available in our stock on creating new concepts/collections based on current market trends
Should be capable of managing complete PD process from designing to CAD, CAM activities by outsourcing from the market
Should be capable to organize, prepare/propose schedules for Collection launces & ensure the timely delivery of those projects
Should be able to give his inputs on how the New collections should be presented/marketed on the online platforms to maximize the success of the projects
Should be capable to create completely New styles, collections & New product development on monthly basis as well as fulfill for any custom requirements by coordinating with the relevant persons
Should be able to prepare BOM’s of the approved Collections based on the stock sizes available
Should be able to co-ordinate with the team to ensure the BOM and all other relevant information is stored properly and upload on the customers ERP systems regularly
